Defense of International Law firm

An international law firm was sued by the insolvency administrator of a former client, a German aircraft engine company, that the firm had represented in an acquisition of a target company in Coppell, Texas. The acquisition involved the purchase of various levels of debt and stock over several months. The case not only involved a complex commercial transaction, but also significant insolvency issues in Germany and Texas. To complicate matters, the lawyers who handled the disputed transaction were no longer at the firm. Beck Redden obtained evidence from witnesses and entities that were located across the United States and Europe to develop a strategy to break down the complex transaction at the heart of the case into simple, digestible parts, to help the jury understand that their client had not only done exactly what it was hired to do, but did it very well. After a four day trial, the jury returned a complete defense verdict.
