Beck Redden Attorney Shines During HBA Law Week

Reads to Houston and Spring Branch ISD Students

On April 25, 2017, as part of the Houston Bar Association’s (HBA) Law Week Celebration, Beck Redden attorney Bryon A. Rice participated in the Reading Program as he has done for the past six years.  As a Co-Chair of the HBA Law Week Committee, Bryon not only read a law-themed book to the students, but also shared with them the job responsibilities of a lawyer and what it takes to be an attorney.

Bryon’s presence was once again a hit, because according to those at Thornwood Elementary in Spring Branch ISD, “he did a wonderful job engaging the students and reading the story aloud.  He answered all their questions and provided interesting background information about his job.”  In addition to reading at Thornwood Elementary, Bryon also visited Houston ISD’s Scroggins Elementary.

Annually, the HBA Law Week Reading Program reaches more than a hundred schools in the Greater Houston area with legal professionals reading law-themed books to students and sharing their personal stories of how they entered into the legal profession.
